We highly recommend selection one of these options to maximize the life span of your cover. By doubling the thickness of the wrapping on your spa cover's internal foam cores, you are adding twice the protection against water absorption. This upgrade DOUBLES the vapor barrier thickness around the foam cores to DOUBLE your protection from water logging.

Over time, the various chemicals in your spa (including the use of an ozonator) begin to break down this protective layer. The strength of a vapor barrier comes down to quality and thickness. Both add to it's strength and longevity. On average, it will increase the effectiveness of the vapor barrier by 12-18 months.

We also offer our proprietary Big Blue Barrier, which we had designed specifically to retard decay due to spa chemicals. It is a double thick vapor barrier made from a combination of polyethelyene and polypropolyene. We are the only cover manufacturer that has this! The Big Blue Barrier will add about 18 months to the life of your cover.

If the average life of a standard cover is 5 years and given our average cover sale is $300, our customers typically pay about $60 per year to own a spa cover. Wouldn't you like to extend your cover's life by at least a year for only $27?

Our covers come standard with 1 pound density foam cores. Each density of foam core is exactly the same thickness. These foam core upgrades have different densities of foam, or more foam in the same exact space, giving more strength.

Our Standard spa cover is built with a 1.0 pound foam core. Our Premier spa cover is built with a 1.5 pound foam that weighs a bit more (although the same thickness as the Standard), resists damage (cracking, breaking) better and provides a higher R-Value (insulating value). The R-value increases from 22.4 to 23.7 with the 1.5 pound foam.

We recommend upgrading to at least the 1.5 pound foam if your conditions warrant the extra strength. The next time you see a dog, child or snow on your cover, you may be glad you selected this upgrade!

We also offer the most dense foam in the industry, the ultimate upgrade to 2.0 pound foam, TWICE the foam density as our Standard.

Keep in mind, if your foam breaks, the warranty is void.

Our new Eco-Cover was created in late 2008 to address both environmental issues and ever increasing consumer heating bills. ANY of our covers can be upgraded to our Eco-Cover, which includes the following features found ONLY in our covers:

A standard cover with only steam stopper pillows has only the vinyl skin for insulation across the entire fold, causing expensive heat loss. By adding a continuous hinge seal across the entire fold AND further sealing the continuous seal with additional, steam sealing, custom heat blockers, nearly zero heat is lost. Customers report the snow no longer melts over the hinge. This increases the R-value of the cover and save money on heating. Customers that have upgraded report that the snow no longer melts above the hinge compared to the standard steam stoppers.

Along with looking more finished, split corner skirts reduce the chance that the skirt ends up under the cover when closing it. When this happens, your heating bills skyrocket.

Split corners are carefully sewn sectional skirts, which appear as slits in the corners. Skirts made this way hang straighter, fit better, and have less tendency to bunch-up under the hot tub cover when closing it. Split corner skirts will let your cover close more quickly and easier and helps prevent the skirt ending up underneath the cover.

Important: Most covers use one piece continuous skirts without splits. Requiring less sewing, they're cheaper to manufacture, but have inherent problems. If the skirt folds under, it prevents an adequate seal resulting in wasted heating energy. On hot days sunlight can cause extreme heat under the skirting of covers without splits, which can damage the spa's acrylic. We recommend hot tub covers with split skirts.

Our covers are made with one tie down strap on each side, 4 straps total is our standard, as this is the configuration we received our UL saftey rating.

We can add an additional four straps, one additional on each side (for a total of 8 straps) for covers in windy environments.

Two inside handles assist in cover removal and moving the cover. The handles are placed under the fold/seam on the underside of the cover to add convenience.

IMPORTANT: These handles are not meant for lifting the cover or for heavy use. These handles are not covered under warranty for any failure.

We can add a pillow or two to your order, and you won't have to pay additional shipping! Our pillows are covered with the exact same vinyl used for your cover so they match perfectly. They are made just like our covers except for the soft foam middle. The foam is wrapped in vapor barrier to prevent waterlogging. The vinyl has a mesh to allow water to drip from the pillow.

Each pillow comes with a strap to a counter weight so your pillow will stay in place on the edge of the hot tub. The counter weight is like a sand bag and hangs down outside the cabinet of the hot tub.

The spa cover removal system makes it easy to remove and recover your spa cover. Your spa cover is stored safely off the ground and in a low storage position to avoid falling over.

Low Storage Position - This safe low storage cover removal design is customer preferred and is especially important for spas with heavier 1.5 and 2 lb density foam covers. Patent # 5974599

Torsion Springs - The torsion springs support the cover weight, ease shock load and assist in transition. These mirror image, Halo Springs add engineering value.

VersaMount Brackets - can be attached to the deck or cabinet. We also have optional aluminum mounting plates that slide under the spa for an easier, less intrusive installation. Patent #6158063

Our lifter is made in the U.S.A. with the thickest tubing and no lead paint!

We can add reinforcement to the fold/hinge of the cover to increase the strength of this area when used with a fold over type cover lifter, as shown above. These lifters "hang" the cover from the fold over the lifter bar, and can wear on the fold over time. This upgrade adds nylon webbing into the fold. It is made from the same strapping used for the tie down straps and handles. The nylon strap is sewn interntally into the hinge area, making a multilayer hinge.

The standard hinge is a double thickness of vinyl. With this upgrade, the nylon strap is sewn between these layers of vinyl to add the additional strength.
